Aathmaanaam's Structure - என்றொரு அமைப்பு - Page 28

Like us a structure This pen could draw a drawing a building map a street information note a love letter to a lady an office's orders All of these will not happen for now It will write just a poem Title will form on it's own The person who researched the skeletons knew one thing for sure Everyone, left to his own devices, forms an idea about what goes on in language which is very far from the truth. Ferdinand de Saussure Read more at: https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/f/ferdinandd317689.html The skeletons live just like us in houses in wastelands at the boundaries of the farmlands They too have Kings Ministers Soldiers a structure Note : Structuralism quotes ... “Words are a pretext. It is the inner bond that draws one person to another, not words.” - Jalaluddin Rumi “Everyone, left to his own devices, forms an idea about what goes on in language which is very far from the truth” - Ferdinand de Saussure

Aathmaanaam's Table - இழுப்பறைகள் கொண்ட மேஜை - Page 43

The table with drawers It looks like it is firm on the ground I fly and hop I arrange the books and other materials that came from nowhere on the table I keep removing I hear an expectant voice that says, ''He will jump off … there is nothing" I capsize the books and the other materials little by little A laughter that laughingly escaped is heard The figure seems to get clearer I should fall next There is the drawer with a lot of clothes on one side and the expectant laughter on the other side I fell into the middle of the sea I arose Note : A very abstract poem … Magical Realism?

Aathmaanaam's Ambience - சூழல் - Page 89

Ambience Like an erect manhood the trees stood erect facing the sky Continuously following and witnessing us The lake was waiting for us in solitude solitude ... The rocks were in dialogue with us with you in a languageless language This lake's movement is neither mine nor yours it is this lake's Why can't we be lakes Without movement facing the sky talking to the rocks Note :  A feel good poem that calls for living together with nature

Aathmaanaam's Memories - நினைவு - Page 37

Memory Slicing the nerves of the heart into fragments Layering together the skeleton I lit the pyre and returned I looked back A photograph I tore it I dissolved all the remaining memories in the sea Thinking that it is clear I sank into the cot You came Everything appeared new There I wasn't You weren't Two shadows are in conversation This is the cassette recording of their soft voice There are no words to that language Only the Scattered sound of deranged sentences and Countless letters were coming from nowhere This is definitely a mread சிச்சிப்படியா The cassette ends here The news is read in the neighboring room Note : Most of Aathmaanaam's poems have a mix of tenses (conscious(?) time confusion of past, present and future). This is one such poem. The deliberately(?) deranged word dream (mread) reminds me of Aram Saroyan's critically acclaimed minimalist poetry though it is a different genre and has no relation here...

Aathmaanaam's Portrait - ஓவிய உலகம் - Page 36

The Portrait World The painting encompasses the world The world encompasses the painting The painter restrains himself and condenses the world into the painting Transforming the breath of life into a mix of colors fusing blood and sweat                                      a face                                      a jar                                      a scene lustful sufferings scuffles of the mind cries of suppressed...
